This project allows kids (or adults!) to learn the basics of stitching while removing some of the variables associated with fabric. Cut holes provide set spacing to take the focus off of stitch length, allowing them to focus on the mechanics of learning backstitching and cross stitching.
Purchase the board on its own, or the kit which includes two plastic needles and the four yarn colors pictured. An instructions sheet is included for reference.
My 6 & 10 year old always want to cross stitch with me, but they struggle to stitch the tiny squares on my fabric. With these wooden boards, they can easily learn how to stitch, and I LOVE that they tell a story through the beautiful Easter design!
